Muskegon Heights Public School Academy System, Redesign - Custom
Muskegon Heights Public School Academy System (MHPSAS) has been a long-time partner and was well-ready for a facelift so their website could match their state-of-the-art campus. For MHPSAS's custom re-design, their team brought a handful of other websites they loved and Foxbright did the rest - piecing together some of the most desired elements with some extra Foxbright flair, as we do. We brought together an interactive mosaic to highlight their buildings and designed a staff/student spotlight feature to highlight successes from the district. Foxbright helped coordinate a video montage to draw visitors in and worked with designers to create custom graphics highlighting and merging their Tiger identity with their main campus.
Project Highlights
- Custom graphics for a photo-realistic rendering of their campus, on the wild side
- Building & Program mosaic to promote district offerings
- Focus on Student & Staff successes
Boyne Falls Public School, New Client - Template Kapok
Boyne Falls Public School (BF) selected Foxbright for a new website using one of the Foxbright templates: Kapok. The goal was to improve the website look and reorganize the website content. BF needed a new website that better suited the district needs for compliance, permission management, and ease-of-use. Foxbright was prepared to swing an ax with the 'Loggers' and also helped re-imagine their logo and branding in the process.
It was important to the Loggers to be able to use a variety of photo sizes instead of a more-strict ratio commonly used for hero banners. We designed the rotator area to look great regardless of the image ratio, and incorporated Foxbright's Carousel rotator to further highlight student activities. The site re-organization that occurs during Foxbright's manual content migration process helped visitors easily find what they need, and conform to the 'less is more' philosophy.
Project Highlights
- Re-designed logo and branding
- Emphasis on keeping things simple and easy to find.
- Happy Clients:
"Thank you so much for this! We love everything you have done so far! It's so beautiful!"
"The Board of Education page looks great! I love that the tabs collapse so that it stays organized and tidy looking."
Island City Academy, New Client - Template Lotus
Island City Academy (ICA) is a smaller academy with a big vision. After updating their district logo and colors, it was time to get off of their outdated plug-and-play website platform and create a more robust solution for their community. Template: Lotus might as well have been made specifically for ICA as the colors and features flow perfectly with the ICA identity. Designed for, but certainly not limited to smaller districts, Lotus allowed us to organize information in a pleasing and easy-to-navigate flow without requiring a huge sitemap.
Project Highlights
- Colors and District Identity blended seamlessly into subtle design elements
- ICA opted for 'white glove' content maintenance treatment: Foxbright staff will update their content to ensure compliance and consistency - allowing educators to focus on educating.
- Tabs and content sections merged many pages so the ICA homepage can present like a one-stop shop, without feeling cluttered.
West Branch - Rose City Area Schools, Redesign - Template Juniper
West Branch - Rose City (WBRC) wanted to update their existing website design and improve compliance by shifting away from relying heavily on Facebook for communication. WBRC is also currently developing their district mobile app to further improve communications with their constituents. Foxbright helped convert Facebook posts into visually pleasing news posts hosted on the website, which can then be shared to social platforms - helping to bring visitor traffic 'back home' and ensure all community members can see the updates whether or not they use social media.
Foxbright provided assistance in cleaning up the existing website content to reorganize and remove old content to ensure consistent presentation regardless of what building or department page is visited. We worked with WBRC to incorporate their re-designed mascot into the district logo and incorperated these elements into page design through background images and watermarks.
Project Highlights
- Unique scrolling background graphics
- Layered welcome area
- District and Foxbright staff collaboration to ensure consistency and user experience
Clinton County RESA, New Client - Template Juniper
After running their previous site for many years, Clinton County RESA (CCRESA) was ready for a new site that was compliant, and easier to update and assign permissions. We're thrilled to have CCRESA on board, thanks in part to positive experiences between Foxbright and several of CCRESA's partner districts. Template: Juniper was a good fit, providing both the more traditional 3-column layout, and ample flexibility with the additional sections included in the Juniper design.
Special touches were added to their design by incorporating the unique lines from their logo (you have to see it to know what I mean) into website elements such as their header navigation & column-tab design. The Foxbright Building List feature was customized to create a visual presentation for their partner districts. Stylized spotlights are used throughout the site for visual flair, such as for the CCRESA instructional resources.
Project Highlights
- Strong emphasis on branding, incorporating logo elements into design
- Aligned Welcome Area + clean Spotlights bar for quicklinks
- Utilizing the File Search feature for Board Minutes and other areas
- Double-tier drop menu for the departments drop menu
Michigan School Public Relation Association (MSPRA), Redesign - Template Hickory
Foxbright has been partnering with, and attending MSPRA conferences for over a decade - prior to the 2024 spring conference was a fine time to launch their re-design! Their goal was to modernize the look and presentation of their home page content, which includes news and resources for public relations professionals within the education sector. To achieve their goals, Foxbright helped make the MSPRA news feed more visual and engaging, while also highlighting membership benefits, resources and testimonials.
To kick off the project, MSPRA used Foxbrights branding guidelines resources and incorperated those principals to MSPRA's mission. We tied the site together by merging elements from MSPRA's logo into background graphics, hover-state visuals, and other interactive features.
Project Highlights
- Special styling for the MSPRA Board Member directory, profile pages, and side navigation
- Inviting use of the Spotlights feature for member benefits and testimonials
- Password Protected area to present a searchable resource catalog using the Foxbright Stories feature, as well as a member directory
