Clawson Public Schools, Redesign - Template Ironwood
Our most-recent launch award (it's only timing, really) goes to Clawson Public Schools! This nice transition out of one of our original template designs into the revamped Ironwood Template helped modernize their look without changing the way their community was used to finding resources. By selecting the Ironwood design, they were able to maintain the 3-column organization while utilizing real estate provided by the more modern template, such as for the pop-out design of the Superintendent's Message and full-width social board. The header menu provides quick access to student/parent portals and the integrated welcome message/visual quicklinks and hero banner helps visitors find what they're looking for without scrolling far. One testament to the flexibility of Foxbright's features: if you look closely, their Bond Updates & District News both utilize Foxbright's standard news feature while being uniquely styled to help the feeds stand out. Kudos to the CPS team for the stunning photography and design elements in their hero banner!
"Foxbright did incredible work - truly. It is exactly the type of change, modernization, and fluidity I was looking for!"

Climax-Scotts Community Schools, Redesign - Template Kapok
There's so much to love about the new Climax-Scotts Community Schools website I don't know where to begin! It's always a fun challenge to help our partners present more information while keeping the site from feeling too busy or cluttered. Everything.In.Its.Own.Place.
CS Schools took the Kapok Design by the horns, utilizing all the interactivity that makes the Kapok Template unique, while elevating it with a special spotlight group to re-enforce their PANTHERS pride and parent/resident testimonials to share what makes their community special. CS Schools also added a district app to further enhance district-community communication and we built a nice home for their app promotions into the website footer to increase visibility.
"Foxbright has been an amazing business partner to Climax-Scotts Community Schools for over ten years. They recently redesigned our website, and it looks fantastic! Adrian H. and the team went above and beyond to help us reach our goals for the new website and new app. We appreciated their patience and kindness as we worked through the fine design details. Their products, partnership, customer service, and training options are top notch! Thank you, Foxbright!"

Two New Educational Organizations, Two New Magnolia Integrations
It's exciting how well Template Magnolia has fit the mold for such a variety of educational organizations (in addition to districts, ISDs & small businesses). Ranging from sleek/understated, to colorful/inviting + offering two distinct homepage formats to boot, what once was intended to be a 'no-frills' design option, Magnolia has punched above it's weight in making attractive and modern designs you'd never know started from the same template! Following the success of MI Student Voice and Life of An Athlete, we're proud to welcome two new clients to Team Magnolia!
Urban Superintendents Association of America (USAA)
USAA focuses on all aspects of the role of the superintendency, while providing insight, knowledge, practical tools, and strategies to do the job well.
Foxbright is now a proud sponsor of USAA (no, not the insurance company), who provides a unique platform for professional development, mentorship, and networking for superintendents and educational leaders.
Between the slick use of the Foxbright Staff Cards feature for their leadership team bios, and interactive Sponsor board, the new USAA website is sure to capture attention.
Note: The USAA website utilizes the alternative Magnolia homepage layout for a more traditional hero rotator/banner + 3D effect on other content areas.
Michigan's School Safety and Mental Health Commission
I've said it before and hope to say it again, Foxbright loves to see collaboration between districts and partners! The new School Safety and Mental Health Commission is a state-wide collaboration to promote local, regional, and state-wide resources supporting School Safety and Student Mental Health.
The Foxbright Stories feature was perfectly suited to serve as a vast, searchable, resource catalogue hosting nearly 1,500 organizations and programs across the state. Vetted and submitted by ISD's and Educational Agencies state-wide, this resource is searchable by audience, category, locality and more.
Note: School Safety and Mental Health Commission uses the 'Parallax' style homepage layout which provides a modern scrolling effect over various background elements.
Kohler Public Schools, Redesign - Template Lotus
A true labor of love, Kohler Public Schools launched their redesign right between Q1/Q2 of 2024 (who's really counting). After spending a chunk of the winter completely re-organizing and updating content, their new site is looking fresher than ever. For long-time partners (KPS has worked with Foxbright for 10+ years!) it's not unusual for the site to have years-old content tucked away. A redesign is a perfect opportunity to slim down and highlight the latest and greatest. Foxbright worked closely with the KPS team to trim some fat, merge pages, and utilize space-saving features such as tabs, expandable blocks, and visual Quicklinks (spotlights). Add in some background graphics, watermarks, and an inviting visual building list to engage visitors, what remains is a site fit for districts of any size.
Template Lotus is always a strong contender due to it's mobile-first design optimization and capability of creating efficient pages able to hold multiple pages worth of content in one place, without over-crowding. For districts and organizations not needing 100's of pages or endless drop menus, Lotus helps visitors find resources quickly. It's not size that matters, it's the attitude.
Northport Public Schools, Website Refresh - Template Hickory
In the last few years, Foxbright has gone through all of our Template options, sunsetting (while still supporting) some of our legacy designs which felt redundant due to the high-customizability built into the modern era of web-tech. Several designs, that we felt had aged well, have been revamped from the ground up to add additional layouts and content areas. One of the our most tried-and-true, and most customizable templates (which, you guessed it, made the cut) was Template Hickory.
Like seeing into the future, long-time partner Northport Public Schools picked Hickory those years ago and was ready to be loaded up with some of the additions to the core template. Thanks to not needing a full redesign, we were able to refresh their look in about one week. Efficient and cost-effective!
ICYMI (Because we almost did...)
We promise you, Fremont Public Schools & C.O.O.R. ISD, missing you in our previous launch roundups was not intentional! Between testing & rolling our latest major CMS release: Iris, streamlining community engagement & 2-way chat in the app, and developing/launching our splash-page offering: PupSites, these two redesign projects simply slipped through the cracks. Well ... late but not least:
Fremont Public Schools, Redesign - Template Kapok
Our partners at Fremont Public Schools launched a lovely rendition of Template Kapok over the winter, re-thinking how they wanted to present their content. It's hard to go wrong merging Black & Red primary colors into interactive spotlights, upcoming events, and a building list to help direct visitors to their student's school information.
But don't stop at their homepage, Kapok truely shines with it's unique building homepage layout, reflected perfectly (and consistently) among Fremont's building pages. With stylized resources, and staff lists featuring admin profile pictures, all the content is tidy, attractive, and easy to find.
C.O.O.R. ISD, Custom Redesign
One of our most colorful partners, Crawford, Oscoda, Ogemaw, and Roscommon (C.O.O.R.) ISD, also launched a nice refresh over the winter. Adding a splash during those grey months, the custom redesign project was based on our Magnolia Template, with additional content sections and design elements added.
Keeping their district partners front and center, we used our building list feature to highlight C.O.O.R. ISD partner districts and academies. Add in an inviting focus video, interactive points of pride, and C.O.O.R. ISD's colorful pallette, their new site is not one soon forgotten.
Wrapping Up
Summer's almost gone <sigh> at least for those of us in education it feels almost done as we ramp back up for the coming school year. But here's to reliving a little of what we were working on this Spring and early Summer (and winter too I suppose). And speaking of ramping up, our team is neck-deep in several exciting fully custom designs we can't wait to show you, so be sure to check back in a couple months for our next client roundup!
