SchoolMessenger RSS Integration
Foxbright has added RSS support for posts originating from SchoolMessenger. This allows the creation of a News Feed on the website that will pull from anything posted in the district SchoolMessenger account. This feed can be displayed alongside other district news feeds or in a stand alone feed.
To use this function:
- Generate an RSS feed from the SchoolMessenger dashboard.
- Create a new News Feed in the Foxbright CMS by clicking News, then News Feeds, then the Add News Feed button to create a new feed.
- Choose SchoolMessenger RSS as the News Feed type the paste the RSS Sync URL from SchoolMessenger.
- The standard SchoolMessenger function archives posts after 1 day. The default archive length for the website can be customized from the News Feed. This can be useful if the SchoolMessenger posts should remain on the website for more than 1 day. Once the RSS imports posts from SchoolMessenger, they can be edited from the Foxbright control panel to change the archive date on a per-post basis.
