This isn’t the Ubly Community School’s first Foxbright website, and these Bearcats knew they were in good hands! For their site’s redesign, they chose the crowd-favorite Kapok template to embrace a wider, more modern aesthetic. UCS also opted for a fully integrated mobile app to make communication with parents and students easier than ever. The app automatically pushes notifications to their website, saving the website administrator tons of time and making sure the community updates are always up-to-date no matter how or where you’re accessing the information.
And as long as we're talking about accessing information (boy, what a smooth segue) Ubly also strategically consolidated resources so community members can navigate the site more intuitively…everything you need is now only a couple clicks away!
Bonus Resource: An Overview of Navigation User Experience Design
Ubly Community Schools know that there’s something special about being a Bearcat, so they wanted to make sure their website reflected the identity and brand of the school district. Foxbright made this goal a reality by moving out with the old and in with the BOLD, creating a new look that popped with the school’s orange and black colors.
Hillman Community Schools
'Tis the season for fresh supplies, First Day of School outfits, and a brand new website for Hillman Community Schools! The Kapok Template was a great choice for a website that had a major glow up over the summer. For Foxbright, a more modern aesthetic also translates to easier navigation without ever sacrificing the unique identity of the client.
Foxbright worked closely with Hillman Community Schools to visually highlight points of pride, bring the school’s mission to the forefront, and seamlessly incorporate the district’s social media feeds for a more dynamic and consistent user experience. Hillman also catered to the busy schedules of its students and parents by creating an app that seamlessly sends out mass notifications, social media, and news to make staying in the loop easier than ever. With custom graphic backgrounds, the website, like all the students at HCS, is truly one of a kind.
St. Joseph County ISD
Please join us in giving a warm Foxbright welcome to St. Joseph County ISD! With the mission statement of “building better futures for children and communities”, St. Joseph County ISD decided it was time to also build a better website! This Foxbright overhaul made sure the new website was fully ADA compliant, modern, and easier to navigate than ever before. Choosing the Magnolia Template, the client creatively used the customizable “building list” feature to display and link to the many districts they service in a visual and interactive manner.
The old site was cluttered and difficult to navigate, but now, the homepage welcomes users to explore everything the St. Joseph County has to offer. By ensuring that the new website is fully ADA compliant, the client effectively improved the user experience for its entire community. With Foxbright’s help, the new website embraces the ADA’s Website Content Accessibility Guidelines of being perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust…while looking pretty snazzy as it checks all those boxes!
Hamtramck Public School District
When the Hamtramck Public School District needed a new website in a hurry, Foxbright stepped in to make sure the transition could be quick, easy, and efficient. A school district with a ton of exciting programming, Hamtramck chose the Nutmeg template as a way to better highlight everything that was going on. Change can be hard, especially for parents who don’t have time to learn a new interface, so Foxbright worked closely with Hamtramck to build off of and improve the navigational framework of the old site.
The “building list” feature also allowed Hamtramck to dynamically showcase the multiple schools in their district, assigning a unique color theme for each school while keeping them all under one unified design umbrella . Hamtramck harnessed the power of Foxbright’s “spotlights” to highlight a wide range of information and announcements, from timely public service announcements to special notices from recent board meetings. Seamlessly integrating social media into the homepage makes things way easier to update for the website administrator while simultaneously providing any visitor all the information they need in one clear, clean, and comprehensive design.
