'Classic Preview' Now Available
Release: Danby
Foxbright's new mobile preview has received wonderful feedback since it's rollout last year. However, we had a client request our original 'new window' preview to be made available. Turns out, they were using the WAVE Browser Extension to check ADA compliance of a page, prior to publishing the page. Unfortunately the new 'contained' preview option wouldn't run in WAVE due to the preview existing within the control panel.
Now, when clicking the 'Preview' button, users will have the ability to choose 'Classic Preview' to access Foxbright's original preview function. Clients wishing to run a compliance check on unpublished pages are encouraged to install the WAVE Browser Extension to add the built-in compliance checker. WAVE also offers their web-based compliance checker for reviewing individual published webpages. While we love the free tools WAVE offers, it is worth noting their reports are very aggressive and may mark fully compliant elements in their report. Some of their alerts include elements 'to review' even if they meet accessibility standards - such as images marked as decorative. As always, feel free to contact Foxbright Support with any questions regarding WAVE. While we didn't create this resource, we may be able to assist with any questions you have.
