Meta Data added to Stories for SEO
The Stories add-on feature now offers Meta Keywords and Meta Description field when creating stories. Adding information in these fields is generally not necessary, but can be helpful in specific instances.
Meta Keywords - allows adding words related to a story so the story will appear in searches for that keyword. Keywords should only be used for words related to a story are not in the story content themselves. For example, a story about Donating may not contain the word 'Sponsor'. Adding the keyword 'sponsor' will help find the story when a visitor searches 'sponsor'. It is not recommended to use keywords that do not relate to the information in a given story. Words included in a story or story title are not needed to be repeated in story keywords.
Meta Description - Meta descriptions describe the content of a story and can show in the summary of search engine results. By default, Foxbright pushes out Meta Descriptions based on the content in a story in the absence of Meta Description data. Custom meta descriptions can be added to this field if needed.
Note: At this time, only Web Administrators will see these fields when editing a story.
