Ellington News Posts Enhancements

News Feeds have received extra attention in the Ellington release! News Posts former 'Image' tab has been converted to a 'Media' tab which can now support multiple images, which become a rotating gallery at the top of the post. In addition, instead of an image or gallery, a video can be placed in a compliant and responsive manner. Videos added in news posts will surface within a News Feed and can be played directly from the feed without needing to open the full post.

News summaries can now be shown or hidden in the full post details. Historically News Summaries always showed above the post details on the full post page. With this new setting, the summary can easily be hid on a per-post basis if the summary (which shows in the feed) should not also be displayed when the full news post is viewed.

In addition, News Posts have received the Social Media Quick Share function, allowing them to be shared to social medias from the control panel, along with other social media sharing improvements.  See the Improvements to Social Media Sharing post for more information!
